Fix Your Lane Assist and More
We'll recalibrate the camera connected to your windshield so your advanced safety features work properly. These features may include:
- Automatic emergency braking
- Forward collision warning
- Lane keep assist
Heated Wipers
A windshield with heated wiper park area, has copper wires infused into it that heat up to keep the windshield wipers from freezing to the glass. Some windshields are completely heated and have lines through the whole thing.
Lane Departure Warning System
The LDWS is a camera attached to front windshield. The LDWS detects the lanes on the road and alerts the driver whenever the vehicle begins to depart from that lane (without signaling). It will alert the driver by making a noise, vibration or an indication will appear on the dashboard.
Electrochromic Mirror
This rear-view mirror has an auto dimming feature that helps reduce headlight glare from other vehicles. These mirrors often have other features such as compass, OnStar, temperature and garage door opener.
Forward Collision Alert (FCA)
The F.C.A is a windshield mounted camera that detects the distance of another vehicle or any other object in front of you. This system will also alert you when an object is getting too close. Some vehicles may also automatically apply the brakes. (Smart City Braking)
Heads Up Display (HUD)
The H.U.D is a projector screen located on the dashboard. This screen displays a transparent projection on the inside of the windshield that shows data, usually your speed or driving directions. This feature allows the driver to view information without taking their eyes off the road.
Condensation Sensor
This sensor is located either next to the rear-view mirror or under the rear-view mirror cover. This sensor detects condensation/moisture. It will turn on the vehicle’s climate control system and defrost/de-fog the windshield.
